ITANAGAR, Mar 8: The Legal Metrology department has booked three petrol pumps in the capital complex for duping customers by dispensing less petrol and diesel.
A team of Legal Metrology Officers led by the Administrative Secretary, Jokey Angu, IAS conducted surprise inspection at Petrol pumps located in the capital complex late this evening and found three dispensing pumps giving short delivery of petroleum products.
On receipt of public complaints, Angu, has personally taken initiative for conducting the surprise inspection at petrol pumps in the capital complex. Till filing of this report, the team has booked cases against three petrol pump owners for violating the provisions of Legal Metrology Act/Rules. Team of Legal Metrology Officers comprise of Amrit Taba, Assistant Controller LM&CA, Papum pare District, Debia Tana, Inspector LM, Papum Pare and Gankong Singpho, Inspector, Itanagar accompanied the Administrative Secretary.
