SEPPA, May 14: The East Kameng District Administration has sealed ALC Line, Seppa (Zone 32) and declared it as containment zone after reports that a person with mild symptoms of COVID-19 has been identified in the said area of the district headquarters.
The suspect has been shifted to the District COVID Care Centre and his family members to the Institutional Quarantine Facility, stated an official order from ADC, Seppa. The executive order also stated that the epicentre lies in Zone 32 of the Micro Plan for Containment and Contact Tracing. Therefore, the entire Zone 32 (ALC Line) shall be contained and the Rapid Response Team shall be deployed as per protocol for contact tracing.
Earlier, the administration requested the residents of ALC line, Seppa not to be careless as the colony  has been  declared as containment zone and colony will remain sealed for 24 hours till the result of the sample arrives.
The said person has a travel history to Tezpur, Assam and already stayed in quarantine. Moreover, his sample tested negative earlier,  but recently  the said person developed some kind of symptom similar to COVID-19, so the district administration has kept the person in the district COVID care centre as a preventive measure.
