POMA Jun 11:Minister of Land Management, SJETA, Law and Justice, etc Nabam Rebia has called upon the people to maintain development friendly atmosphere and said that development not only improves the importance of the place but also brings in manifold changes in socio-economic status of the people and hence people should embrace the development projects coming in the area with open arms without creating hindrance in its implementations.
He said this during the development meeting at Poma village today.
Highlighting on various ongoing developmental projects like NIT, Women’s College, NIF&TV, with special emphasis on crucial two lane state highways from Itanagar to Jote road, he clarified that there is no composition of compensation in state highways projects and so people need to understand the importance of roads in view of many developmental activities that are taking place in the area.
Appreciating the work of Bamboo Mission Project at Bamboo Processing Unit, Poma, Rebia also called for improving the facility to make it more employable and productive and instructed Techi Ana, Ex-ASM Chairperson and Chairman, Bamboo Processing Unit to prepare a proposal and submit it to the government to improve Bamboo Mission Project and to create more employment for local unemployed youths.
Meanwhile responding to six point memorandum of Development Committee, Rebia assured to look into their demand in piecemeal according to feasibility and announced Rs.25 Lakhs under SIDF for construction of Medical barrack.
He also visited site of Women’s College and PHC, Poma and distributed PP items to GBs and Committee members of development meeting from District Administration.
Later on the minister also witnessed the closing ceremony of 6th Vacational Running Trophy Football Tournament’2018 organised by Eleven Star Football Club,Poma at general ground Poma.
