AALO, May 21:Considering the onset of monsoon and anticipating likely damages of homes, live stocks and other infrastructure along the bank of the Yomgo River, the West Siang administration has issued an advisory notice to people dwelling at vulnerable locations to shift to safer places during this monsoon.

These areas have been declared as vulnerable by the DDMA basing on flood threats and large scale damages in the past. All villagers have also been asked to shift their livestock from the river side to safer places.

This is essential to avoid claims and counter claims for compensation on loss of livestock running into lakhs of rupees here and there even unnecessarily, the administration said in a release.
