First and second runners-up received cash prizes of rupees 1.5 lakh and 70 thousand respectively. The scintillating final round witnessed highly spirited performances from all the five finalists and winners of the previous seasons.
Congratulating the winners, Assembly Speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona who attended as chief guest, praised the finalists for their top-notch performances. Expressing grave concern over continuous rise of the menace of drug addiction in state, Speaker said that it kills one’s talent and appealed the youths to refrain from drugs. He also appealed the civil societies and CBOs to work hard to curb the menace among the young generation. Citing the example of Aalo based De-addiction-cum-Rehabilitation Centre, Sona appealed NACWS and other related organisations to use music as a tool of getting youths out of the clutches of drugs. State Home Minister Bamang Felix, who attended as Special Guest, stated that music doesn’t belong to any tribe, religion, region, caste or creed and suggested the singers to sing for the state. Lauding the finalists for their excellent performances, he urged them to make an Arunachalee album for which he offered to sponsor the same.
Nyishi Elite Society President Bengia Tolum who was the Guest of Honour lauded NACWS for organising the show for 6 consecutive times in a row. NACWS PR
