PASIGHAT, Feb 18: Under the caption “Run For Sports” - Mini-Marathon was organized by Department of Sports here at Daying Ering Government Higher Secondary School, playground, with participants from all walks of life taking part in the event.

The event was formally flagged-off by Tamat Gamoh, President of District Olympic Association, (East Siang) and among others, General Jamoh, President DFA, Tanya Padung and DTO (S&G) President Taekwondo Association, Sensei Ajay Chetry (East Siang) were present.

The main objective of the event was to instill a sense of strong determination to participate in sports activities thereby awaken and rejuvenate the importance of sports in life.

In women's category Yabang Tali won comfortably while in the men's category, Mingkeng Jomyang stood first who was closely followed by Kaling Tamin and Tering Apum.
