PASIGHAT, Nov 1: Joseph Tayeng, a student of Class XI (Arts) of Donyi Polo Vidhya Bhawan, Itanagar, secured 1st position at the state level talent hunt exam “Transforming Education Awards-Knowledge Brainstorm-2018” conducted by Lovely Professional University, Punjab recently.
Joseph is a permanent resident of Pasighat. He has been awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 and Gold Medal with certificate besides scholarship of one time study grant of Rs. 1,00,000/- or Rs. 50,000 per semester if studies at LPU, Punjab.
Joseph has been a meritorious student all along. Nurturing a dream to be an entrepreneur, he now wishes to pursue BBA and MBA. His father Sukumar Tayeng said that such talent search examination is a scholarship programme conducted to identify and recognize students with high intellect and academic talent and it is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. East Siang Deputy Commissioner Tamiyo Tatak congratulated Joseph on his achievement.
