ITANAGAR, Jan 19: The 2nd edition of Papum Poma River Festival (PPRF) will kick off from January 23-25 by the riverside of Papum (Boroi), Ramghat under Taraso Circle, Papum Pare district with the theme “Save Nature Save Our Future”.
While addressing media persons here at Arunachal Press Club on Sunday, Organizing Chairman John Panye said, the festival is being organized jointly by the three administrative circle--Balijan, Taraso and Sangdupota supported by state department of tourism, Doimukh MLA Tana Hali and district administration.
Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Kiren Rijiju will witness the festival as chief guest along with Minister of Handlooms, Textile and Sericulture, Government of Assam, Ranjit Dutta as guest of honour on January 23.
John further added that the eco tourism festival will cater and treat the visitors with lifetime experiences through adventure activities like water rafting, angling, kayaking, zip-lining, rappelling, hot air balloon etc, along with live performance of local artists and display of many local cuisines of both the states of Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
