Yupia, Jul 23: The District Planning Board meeting of Papum Pare district was conducted today here at DC conference hall under the chairmanship of DPB Chairman-cum-Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh Malik.
The meeting was intended for screening the proposed schemes of various departments of the district under the Annual State Budget 2019-20 and was attended by the former Chief Minister & current 15-Sagalee AC MLA Nabam Tuki and 14-Doimukh MLA AC Tana Hali Tara. Tuki while highlighting the importance of DPB meeting requested the board to identify the schemes which are development-oriented, realistic and free from duplicity for the greater benefit of the masses. Citing the examples of various incomplete projects in his constituency, he stressed on prioritising the critical schemes that are still incomplete due to financial and infrastructure constraints. He also appealed the DC-cum-Chairman of the board to give priority to schemes and projects that cater to the essential services like roads, bridges, power, education and health.
14-Doimukh MLA urged upon the officers to propose developmental plans that would bring maximum benefits to the people of the area and emphasised on the need for a mini Secretariat at the district headquarter. He also exhorted the officers to work in unison for the development of the district and appealed the DC to constitute a Team Papum Pare in this regard.
During the meeting, all proposed new schemes of various departments like Power, PHE&WS, PWD, UD& Housing, WRD, RWD, Health etc were presented through Power Point Presentations by the concerned Executive Engineers. ADC (Hq), Kimin, Balijan, Sagalee, HoDs, administrative officers, BDOs and Executive Engineers attended the meeting. DIPRO
