YUPIA, Mar 16: An emergency co-ordination meeting on Covid-19 was conducted at DC’s conference hall, Yupia today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Pige Ligu to discuss the preparedness of Papum Pare District in tackling COVID-19.
Deputy Commissioner instructed District Medical Officer, all programme officers , Mo I/Cs and field level health workers to remain vigilant and fully prepared to any tackle possible outbreak of COVID-19.
District Medical Officer Dr. Subu Tasso Kampu also apprised the DC about the preparedness of the district and sought the co-operation from district administration, Police and all line departments. She also informed that training will be imparted to all teams on March 18 at TRIHMS, Naharlagun.
Dr.RR Ronya, District Surveillance officer briefed the house about Corona virus and required preparations pertaining to screening team, logistic support, vehicles and coordination of all stakeholders.
During the meeting formation of teams for screening of all passengers at all entry pints of the district like Banderdewa, Kimin, Hollongi and Gumto Checkgates, Railway station Borum, Helipad, Naharlagun were discussed and accordingly teams formed comprising two medical staff and 2 police personnel at all entry points. All required logistics and manpower requirements were also discussed.DIPRO
