DAPORIJO, Dec 11: The reconstructed Panchayat Ghar of Sigin-I was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Danish Ashraf today in presence of  SP, Daporijo, Administrative Officers, HoDs and ex Panchayati Raj members. 
The said building was severely damaged in the new market inferno that occurred in August last year.
Apart from the funds made available to the ASMs, voluntary contributions from various sources were pooled in to reconstruct the building. The ex panchayati raj members presented a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner requesting to immediately allot the land against Sigin-I panchayat and also provide funds for boundary wall, to protect the land from public encroachment.
The DC directed the Land Management department to immediately meet up all the codal formalities and allot the land to Sigin-I panchayat within a week’s time. He further announced to construct community hall and provide boundary wall from various resources available under his disposal.
