ZIRO, May 24: Around 60 hectares of paddy field have been damaged by heavy rainfall in the Ziro area. 
The majority of the damage has been due to excessive water flow from the irrigation channel and catchment areas.
 In Siiro area , landslide from nearby area has resulted in deposition of excess silt and landfill in paddy fields, thus damaging standing crops.
The Department of Agriculture is constantly monitoring the situation of farmers at field level. DIPRO
