PANGIN, Nov 28: Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Pasighat today organized a rally cum awareness programme and swachhta activities under the banner of Special Outreach Programme on Swachh Bharat Mission at Government Higher Secondary School, Pangin.
The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among the students and people about cleanliness. The programme started with a mass awareness rally and social service. Speaking as resource person, Osem Mongku, Assistant Engineer, PHED, Pangin said that to stop open defecation, the government is providing an incentive of Rs.20, 000 to make a separate toilet for every household.
Earlier, Mihir Kumar Jha, FPO, FOB, Pasighat welcomed the participants and informed the gathering about the main objectives of the programme as well as Swachh Bharat Mission. About 500 students, teachers, villagers participated in the programme and a quiz competition was also organized during the programme on cleanliness.
