Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
Itanagar, Mar 4: Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Itanagar, Ministry of I & B, Govt. of India, conducted a Mini Integrated Communication & Outreach Programme (ICOP) on the theme of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) at Dera Natung Govt. College, Itanagar on Monday.
Prasanta Das, In-Charge Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office Itanagar, in his welcome address briefed about the aims and objectives of the SVEEP campaign. He said that this program aims to educate and engage the youth and urged them to spread the message to all spheres of society so that many more people can take part in the electoral process.
Resource Person Bar Yakar, assistant professor, Dera Natung Govt. College focused on the overall electoral process including the working and target of the SVEEP. She also highlighted its success story in 2014 election and its future plans. Chief Guests of the program Dr. M.Q. Khan, Principal of the Dera Natung Govt.
College stressed on the values of the election process and the role of a voter in society. He also focussed on the dissemination of the message of the SVEEP campaign.
The Mini ICOP program on the SVEEP ended with the Quiz Competition.
