YINGKIONG, Aug 5: An Orientation and Convergence Programme on Mahila Kisan Sashaktikaran Pariyojana (MKSP) under National Rural Livelihood Mission was held here last Friday last under the chairmanship of ADC, Upper Siang District Tamik Talom.
ADC appreciated the efforts of the spirited ArSRLM team of the district for working with missionary zeal in the face of various exigencies besides urging all stakeholders to ensure proper linkages and work in tandem as a cohesive unit to realise the NRLM goals. He also advised the Self-Help Groups promoted under ArSRLM to inculcate the true spirit of self-help.
A detailed PPT on DAY-NRLM and reports on BMMU Yingkiong and Jengging was given by the Block Mission Managers and Cluster Coordinators. PPTs on Geku CD Block and on MKSP was also shared. Greater convergence of all the allied departments to attain the laid out objectives was stressed by the officials. All HoDs of the line departments & financial institutions assured to extend help to the women SHGs in their capacity under stipulated guidelines for ensuring sustainable livelihood to the rural households.Representatives from SHGs while speaking on the occasion shared their grievances and asked the HoDs to support them with schemes available in their departments including the individuals.
Besides members from SHGs, the programme was attended by DDA, PD DRDA, DHO, DAH&VO, DD(ICDS), CDPO, BDO, BM Apex Bank Yingkiong and ArSRLM staff from BMMUs Yingkiong and Jengging.
