LIKABALI, Jun 13: Ramle Banggo Youth Forum (RBYF) and Ramle Banggo Students’ Union(RBSU) have decided to launch democratic movement in the form of phase-wise bandhs in the 36 Nari-Koyu assembly constituency region if their long standing demand for commencement of Circle Office headquarters at Seren is not fulfilled.
In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, Lower Siang district, the two associations have reminded that although assurance was given by the Chief Secretary way back in July 2017 of fulfilling the need, the process is still lingering. Reportedly, RBSU has also submitted a memorandum regarding this. It can be recalled that Seren Circle Office headquarters was established in 1996 but is laying defunct for the last 23 years.
The resolution to launch democratic movement in case of non fulfillment of the demand was taken during a joint meeting of RBYF & RBSU. The associations besides demanding immediate commencement of the Circle Office headquarters has also stressed that it should not suffer from staff deficiency. ES Newsdesk
