Book on Traditional Festivals of Arunachal Pradesh released
ITANAGAR, Feb 16: With an aim to promote talent within the state, the District Administration on behalf of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh is organising the first ever Officer's and Official's Idol wherein singers from all over the state would compete with each other to win the coveted title. The final audition ended today with selection of 10 participants in each category. The 20 participants would face-off at the Grand Finale at IG park on February 18 next which would also be the curtain raiser to the 32nd Statehood Day celebration.
Minister Art and Culture Mohesh Chai who attended the programme as a special invitee lauded the District Administration for such an initiative and hoped that more such programmes are organised in various fields as different individuals have different potential. He also appreciated that this time the festival of Arunachal is promoting local talent as all the winners of O&O Idol would get to be the opening performance during the three day celebration.
Earlier Himanshu Gupta Special Secretary to CM said that such events give an opportunity to government servants to groom their talent and lauded the District Administration for their effort to bring together government servants based in various districts together in a single platform.
50 participants from various districts participated today and the audition was judged by renowned artists Taba Yall Nabum, Jomnya Siram and Tsangpa Norbu.
