Guwahati, Jun 8: Leave Travel Concession (LTC) is going to be reintroduced which will drive in good number of domestic tourist to North East region post Covid-19, said S Devbarman, Regional Director (NE) Ministry of Tourism during the virtual inauguration of a 5-day Online Certified Tourism Course today. He also opined that North East is going to be the preferred destination in near future due to lower number of positive cases of Covid-19 compared to other regions of India.
Tsering Wange, founder of Himalayan Holidays thanked Indiatourism Guwahati for this innovative training programme which had attracted an overwhelming response from the participants. He also introduced the guest speakers, moderators & curators who had worked hard to bring the online training programme of the Ministry on the right track. In this regard he especially thanked Ambalika Choudhury, Himangshu Baruah & Passang Droma.
He also conveyed the messages of encouragement and good wishes received from Gaur Kanjilal former Dy Director General, Ministry of Tourism and Dilip Baruah former Regional Director (NE). Nearly 100 students, youths and tourism entrepreneurs stand to gain from this innovation online training programe.
