PASIGHAT, Jun 17:Police has arrested a man with brown sugar today during their their routine Inner Line Permit checking at Ruksin check gate, entry to East Siang along Arunachal-Assam boundary.

The Ruksin police found a youth named Edi Gogoi carrying suspicious drug items in a bag on a Tata Sumo which was coming from the state capital.

On thorough checking, the police found some brown sugar and significant amount of medicine capsules, informed OC Ruksin, Limar Ori.  The suspect aged 29 years hails from Namsing village and is also suspected to be selling drugs in Pasighat and Aalo

 

During police interrogation, Gogoi revealed that he along with four other peddlers used to go outside Arunachal Pradesh to collect brown sugar and capsules on rotation and sold the same here at Pasighat, Mebo areas etc, informed Dy. SP Tamut and OC Ori.
