Namsai, Mar 29: A meeting to highlight the importance of adhering to MCC guidelines for ensuring free and fair elections was held today in the conference hall of DC’s office Namsai, attended by the General Observer, DEO, ROs, SP, AROs, contesting candidates and representatives of political parties.
District Election Officer, Namsai Dr. Tapasya Raghav, IAS appealed to the candidates and political parties to act in accordance with the MCC guidelines for free, peaceful and fair elections in the district.
General observer for Namsai district V.Sampath, IAS while emphasizing on elections free of money and muscle power, also advised the candidates to seek clarification on any issue from the concerned ROs and AROs.
District’s SP A.K Singh, IPS informed that since strict actions will be taken against those violating the rules, MCC obedience is expected from all the candidates and political parties. DIPRO
