 YINGKIONG, Oct 24:The three-day-long intensive Training on Youth Leadership & Capacity Training Programme to build capacity and develop leadership qualities of youth organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra successfully concluded at Yingkiong.

District Youth Coordinator East Siang, Tapun Taki highlighted the activities undertaken by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Yingkiong and other flagship programmes of the Government of India to the trainees.

He also made fervent appeal to all the volunteers and youth attending the training to form a youth club and Mahila Mandal in their respective villages and conduct awareness programmes.

Further, he urged them to contribute something to the nation with the concept of “Nation First-Character Must.”

Dr. Appir Apang attended the programme as resource person, who spoke on topics related to moral values for youths, character building, national integration, patriotism, communal harmony etc.

Further discussions were also held on various social and cultural issues affecting society and the role of youths during the training. Certificates were also distributed after successful completion of the training programme to all the trainees.
