ITANAGAR, Sep 24: The NSS unit of Dera Natung Government College celebrated the “NSS Day” with huge enthusiasm here at its college premises. The NSS State Liaison Officer (SLO) Dr. A.K.Mishra, under Directorate of Higher Education, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Mishra while emphasizing on the Swacchata Hi Seva Andolan requested the college authority to take necessary steps to discourage Single-Use Plastics, SUP products within the campus.
The Vice-Principal of DNGC Kumar Tok, Commerce HOD Dr.A.K.Pandey, Zoology HOD Dr.P.Nanda, Programme Officers Pate Jumshi and Talom Taloh were present during the day-long celebration. A street play was also performed by the NSS volunteers near the college gate and Vivek-Vihar tri-junction on the theme “Swacchata” to mark the occasion.
