AALO, May 8: NPP Workers Redressal Forum  of 27 -Liromoba AC conducted a meeting today with the West Siang District police here in the office chamber of the district SP in connection with the case registered by  police subsequent to their raids that were conducted in Tego Gamlin and Laggi Gamlin villages at the residences of NPP supporters, allegedly without valid search warrants on May 1 and 2.
The meeting regarding the said case (Aalo PS Case No.23/2019, U/s 452/395/323/34 IPC State of  A.P Versus Unknown)  was conducted under the chairmanship of DIGP ( Central Range), Pasighat Isaac Pertin IPS, with the district police  represented by SP West Siang and NPP Workers Redressal Forum  represented by its Chairman Gedo Kato along with its executive members.
During the meeting, Kato reiterated that police action had caused deep resentment and had hurt the sentiment of the local villagers, as house raid without prior intimation tantamounts to trespassing in local custom. Meanwhile, the  SP justified the police action, citing sections 47 & 48 of CrPC which authorizes police to take any suspect in their custody for investigation purposes without any arrest warrant.

However, after a threadbare discussion, it was agreed upon by both the parties that it was all due to the misunderstanding resulted out of a communication gap and the police department will continue the investigation procedure as per relevant law.

Further, the chairman, 27th Liromoba NPP Workers Redressal Forum also assured that they will not interfere in the investigation procedure of the district police and rather extend its cooperation to nab the wrong doers, if any. NPPWRF Press Release
