ITANAGAR, Mar 20: The National People’s Party (NPP) on Wednesday released its official list of 29 candidates for the ensuing Legislative Assembly elections.
The party also announced Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF) President, Khoda Apik as its candidate for 1-West Parliamentary seat.
The list for NPP candidates for the state assembly includes two sitting ministers, Kumar Waii (8th-Bameng constituency) and tourism minister, Jarkar Gamlin (31-Aalo -East) along with five sitting MLAs.
The names of Independent MLA, Paknga Bage(26-Dumporijo) and former state BJP General Secretary, Jarpum Gamlin ( 27-Liromoba) have also featured in the list.
The list also features 12 new faces which include Advocate Tony Pertin and engineer-turned politician, Tarh Hari and Aju Khonjuju. Pertin will contest from the 42 Dambuk ST and Hari has been chosen for 15 Sagalee. Khonjuju is the NPP candidate for 7th-Bomdila constituency. NPP release
