ITANAGAR, Jun 5: The State Executive body of National People’s Party (NPP) Arunachal Pradesh today conducted an emergency meeting here at their state office under the chairmanship of State President Gicho Kabak to discuss issues that had evolved post swearing-in of the new state government.
While  appreciating the Pema Khandu led government for handing over the May 21 massacre case to the National Investigation Agency, the state NPP has also appealed the government to strengthen the security apparatus around their MLA candidates of TCL region and state party leaders who are being targeted by the militant groups. It is worth mentioning that the state is yet to recover from the shock of the bloodbath which took away the lives of NPP MLA Tirong Aboh, its State General Secretary Wangngoi Hakhun and nine others.
The party has also welcomed the state cabinet decision of providing a Group C government job and Rs. 20 lakhs to the next kin of the deceased families as a mark of respect to the departed souls. It has further appealed the people of Arunachal Pradesh to extend full cooperation to the state police and paramilitary forces during investigations and operations for tracing out the assassins.
