CHANDIGARH, Nov 9: The 4th North East Youth Fest, Chandigarh was inaugurated today amid a gathering of over 1200 youth from the eight North Eastern states with the theme “North East Youth Towards Nation Building”.  
Speaking as the Chief Guest at the occasion, Om Prakash, DIG, Chandigarh called upon the young people present to have respect for others, mutual tolerance and to keep away from all sorts of crimes.  
The guest of honour, Arjun Sharma, sub divisional magistrate, Chandigarh spoke about the initiative that the administration has made in creating a Special Cell for North East with a Helpline functioning round the clock.  
Don Bosco Navjeevan, Chandigarh, Director, Fr. Reji Tom, in his exhortation expressed the desire to collaborate fully with the Special Cell for North East at Chandigarh and to do all possible to make the facility functional for the benefit of North Easterners.   Earlier, Fr. Cyriac, Director, Don Bosco Youth Centre, Itanagar congratulated the youth leaders from the eight North Eastern states who under the leadership of Director, Don Bosco Navjeevan worked hard to make the event possible.  
 He also read a message of Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, which exhorted young people of North East to adjust well to the environment of the cities they live.  The Chief Minister in his message also congratulated the organizers, Don Bosco Youth Centre, Itanagar and Don Bosco Navjeevan, Chandigarh for the initiative.
