ROING, Mar 11: To promote sports activities in and around the vicinity of the project area, so as to channelize the strength of the youths towards a more constructive meaning, a local level Football Tournament for the youths of Lower Dibang Valley was organized by NHPC, Dibang Multipurpose Project (DMP) on March 9-10 in association with Industrial Training Institue (ITI), Roing.
The tournament’s final match was held on 10th March and large number of locals from nearby villages came to enjoy the exciting final match.
A total 4 teams i.e. Cheta FC, LDV XI, Layu XI & United Dibang XI from the Lower Dibang Valley participated in the tournament out of which the final match was played between Cheta XI and United Dibang XI. In a grueling display of skilled football, the Cheta XI defeated United Dibang XI 3-0. ES Newsdesk
