Namsai, Oct 19: National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) under the aegis of the District Administration, Namsai today organized a Free Eye Testing Camp here at Zero-Point, Mahadevpur.
Speaking on the occasion, General Manager-NHIDCL(P), Namsai Branch, Tirtha Roy informed that the camp was organized as a part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of NHIDCL. “Free eye check-ups were carried out for the benefit of the local people as well as the drivers on road,” Roy said. He further divulged that besides eye check-ups, NHIDCL is also creating awareness on Single Use Plastic. “We are appealing people to avoid using SUP and distributing biodegradable bags to them,” added the GM.
Eye Surgeon, Tinsukia Civil Hospital Dr.Vikash Sharma visited the camp. Meanwhile, free medicine kits were also distributed. News desk
