DEED, Nov 8: Likha Pon Foundation (LPF), an NGO organized a free dental check-up cum awareness camp with the theme “Give back to Society", at governmental middle school Kugi Tago under Deed circle in Lower Subansiri on Thursday last.
The camp was organized as a tribute to late Likha Pon who was the founder member of the residential school. The dental check-up program was followed by awareness talks wherein students were educated about common dental ailments such as tooth decay, gum disease, and preventive measures. It was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Thongon Panye and Dr.Likha Eichir and nearly sixty patients benefited from the camp.
Later, LPF distributed toothpaste with brush and rice to the students. The program was also attended by senior members of the area, HGB, public, school management committee chairman and school staff.
