ITANAGAR, Dec 9: The Nyishi Elite Society (NES) and Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) have deeply mourned the sudden demise of Bengia Chapo, who passed away on Sunday at R.K. Mission Hospital Itanagar.
Born too late Bengia Beri and Bengia Yake on 19 June 1970 at Yapak village under Koloriang administrative centre under erstwhile Lower Subansiri, late Chapo who joined Arunachal Legislative Assembly Secretariat as UDC-Cum Receptionist on 1990 worked up to the post of Joint Secretary Legislative Assembly. He also held posts of Assistant, Committee Officer, Deputy Secretary and Joint Secretary till his retirement on June 2012.
In recognition of his professional achievements, the Nyishi Elite Society had conferred NES Professional Achiever Award-2012 to him. He is survived by his wife Bengia Amang, a son and eight daughters.  Deeply saddened over the demise of Chapo, the Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) termed his demise as a great loss to the Nyishi community, business community and state as a whole.
“Apart from being a government servant, he was a philanthropist, an elder and mentor to our association who on various occasion gave lots of decisive advice to IMWA on different critical issues pertaining to public welfare,” it stated in a condolence message.
