ITANAGAR, May 19: In an effort to maintain peace and tranquillity and to avert any sort of post-poll violence in the Nyishi inhabited fourteen assembly constituencies, the apex body of the community NES along with its district units and contesting candidates held a meeting today.
During the meeting, NES also resolved that all the contesting candidates shall be responsible for maintaining post-poll peace and tranquillity in their respective constituencies. Further, Nyishi Elite Society also decided to form a Peace Monitoring Committee as and when situations demand in each zone/constituencies involving the candidates (or) representatives to maintain calm.
