PASIGHAT, Feb 15: Pasighat based North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today with Siang Trust, a registered Society of Pasighat, for extensive collaboration in a wide range of activities related to yoga education and medicinal plant research.
Dr. Robindra Teron, Director, NEIAFMR, and Dr. Onik Moyong, President of Siang Trust signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Dr. Robindra Teron spoke on the need to cultivate a few select medicinal plants for commercial purposes to sensitize the public on the economic value of farming of medicinal plant species, which will boost the livelihood options. Kingman Komut, Secretary, Siang Trust also spoke and said that the agreement will focus on promoting Yoga Education and the Ayush system of medicine among the public. DIPRO
