ITANAGAR, Oct 25: Prof. Hrushikesh Senapaty, Director, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) called on Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan today. They discussed about ways to ensure timely availability of NCERT books in the State.
The Governor, who has been advising the State Government in making textbooks available in schools, said that education is the most important aspect in the development process of society. Sharing his observation during his tour to all the 22 Districts of the State, the Governor said that NCERT books are important for the students. This year, due to concerted effort of all and prompt action from the State Government, books were provided to the students, he said.
The Governor emphasised on vocational education and activating the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Arunachal Pradesh.
Prof. Ranjana Arora, Head, Department of Curriculum Studies (DCS), NCERT along with Assistant Professors from DCS, NCERT, Dr. MVSV Prasad and RR. Koireng, and Moto Nyori, Joint Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Arunachal Pradesh were present in the meeting.
