ITANAGAR, Apr 29: The young cadets of NCC of Dera Natung Government College Itanagar today voluntarily contributed 25 units of blood following a call by the Arunachal Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS).
A total of 25 cadets voluntarily donated blood today and more would be joining the cause in the next phase, said Agin Taboh, Associate NCC Officer, DN College.
Taboh pointed out that to ensure a stable supply of blood during this pandemic, the youths came forward to support the APSACS cause and help those who are in need.
Earlier, Taboh stated that he received a formal request from APSACS to donate blood to help those in need during this hour of crisis.
"We are only able to contribute 25 units as we follow good social distance practices as directed by the DA. More will be joining in the next phase which is scheduled on May 1, ”he said.
Meanwhile, he underlined the importance of blood donation in this hour of crisis which is vital for public health citing the need for blood is constant.
