ITANAGAR, Feb 13: The Nugong Banggo Kebang (NBK) in a press statement has strongly condemned the attempt made by unknown miscreant(s) to burn the steel suspension bridge over Siyom River at Sanggam in the wee hours today.

While demanding prompt inquiry from the District Administration to nab the culprits, NBK  stated the Sanggam bridge over Siyom river is the only lifeline connecting Siang, Upper Siang Districts of Arunachal Pradesh which caters easy access to the people living in the upper belt of Siang valley bordering China and also remains the only supply route for Army and Para military personnel safeguarding the international borders.

‘We also appeal to the government to constitute an enquiry by expert not below the rank of high court judge to unearth the heinous act and deploy 24X7 security to the bridges for the interest of the  people,’ stated NBK.
