Khonsa, Dec 1: National Pension Week was launched in Tirap district by the Deputy Commissioner P.N. Thungon in presence of Workers’ Unions, Transport Unions, Khonsa Bazar Welfare Association, Nocte Mothers’ Federation & other SHGs and officials of Labour & Employment Department here on November 30 last.
DC urged the traders/unorganised workers of Khonsa township in particular and other NGOs/SHGs of Tirap district as a whole to enrol their names compulsorily for PM-SYM (Eligible age group 18-40 years) and NPS ((Eligible age group 18-60 years) provided they should not be covered under New Pension Scheme, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) or Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) and he/she shouldn’t be an Income Tax payee.
