Itanagar, Sep 19: National Informatics Centre, Arunachal Pradesh State Centre is currently observing Hindi Fortnight in all its units from September 13-26.
The main function was held today here at its office in Civil Secretariat, where various competitions like extempore speech, poem recitation, essay and Hindi quiz were organised. All officials of NIC District Centres participated enthusiastically through video conferencing.
Assistant Professor of Hindi from RGU, Dr. Satyaprakash Paul was the Chief Guest on the occasion who explained the practical usage of the language and highlighted the role of cinema, television, social media in popularising Hindi among masses. SIO, NIC Dr. Dibakar Ray delivered keynote address wherein he emphasised the need to enhance usage of Hindi in day-to-day official works.
