Governor chairs high-level security review meeting
ITANAGAR, Mar 19:The National Deworming Day was formally launched today by Special Secretary, Health and Family Welfare- cum- Mission Director, NHM, Dr. Tapasya Raghav in presence of Director H&FW Dr. Kabang Lego and Nodal Officer Health, Dr. Tana Natung and officials including school children of Little Rose School Naharlagun who were administered the dose on the occasion.
Speaking to the children, Dr. Raghav advised the children beneficiaries to take the medicine every six months to keep their stomach free from worm infestation and also educated them about the ill effects of worm infestation.
Disclosing that Arunachal Pradesh is at 6th position among lowest deworming states, she said the state government is committed to provide deworming tablets to all the children with a mission to leave no child uncovered this time around.

While inaugurating the National De-worming Day at Holly Child Academy today at Karsingsa, Deputy Commissioner, Tai Kaye emphasized on Health & hygiene of the students.
He also directed the DMO along with DRCHO for strictly implementation of the NDD programme in every school, Aganwadi Centres of the district and asked them to ensure that every child is given deworming tablets.
DMO, Subu Tasso Kampu highlighted the importance of NDD programme advised all the children present on regular and proper hand washing.
