ITANAGAR, Oct 19: All Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU) has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, Namsai demanding an immediate arrest of the persons involved in burning of the community hall and at least 14 houses at New Mabira Village in Namsai district.
In its memorandum, AdiSU claimed that a mob armed with lethal weapons intruded the village and set ablaze the community hall and 14 houses of the villagers on October 12 and 15. Demanding action against the miscreants within 24 hours, the union urged DC to immediately release compensation to the victims and ensure security to the villagers failing which it will resort to democratic protest.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Namsai, Ankit Singh informed that all legal procedures have been initiated against the culprits. News desk
