NAMSAI , Jul 16: Intensifying its effort against the menace of drug abuse in Namsai district, Namsai Police today arrested one habitual drug peddler Chow Rajate Longchot alias Taklu Seng of 2nd Mile area along with one of his customers.
Acting on a tip-off, the team led by Officer in-Charge of Namsai PS, Inspectors CB Rai & L Lowang, Head Constables C.S Mishra, N.Sanchung & C.W Khamhoo, Constables T.Morang, C.S Singkai & Debojit Deori arrested the duo.
Pink coloured powder suspected to be a contraband substance weighing approx 40 grams, syringes & needles were recovered from their possession. A regular case has been registered vide NMS PS/No.41/19 U/S 21(b)/25/27/29 NDPS ACT.
