As per the new SOPs, swabs are now collected after five days and if tested negative, the inmate is sent for a 14-day home quarantine. Since July 1, all the quarantine inmates are paying Rs 500 for three-time meals, tea and biscuits, other sanitary expenses and sleeping material”, he disclosed. “We are also keeping an eye to avoid community spread of the virus and all our health workers and magistrates are sincerely working round the clock to fight the pandemic,” DC assured. However, as per sources, private hotels & lodges are charging Rs 300 for a three-time meal and separate accommodation.
