Itanagar, Mar 12: Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex Prince Dhawan through an order has directed the flying squad team led by EAC Naharlagun Rinchin Leta and DTO ICC Wangsu to enforce the instructions passed by the office of the CEO, Arunachal Pradesh.
The order imposes a total ban on use of official vehicles by any political party, candidate or any other person connected with election for campaigning, electioneering or election related travel during elections except for officials performing any election related official duty subject to certain exception mentioned therein.
The order was issued after the announcement of the election dates by Election Commission of India to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha and 10th Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh. 
The order also stated that in view of the above, provisions of model code of conduct/standing instructions of the ECI has come into force with immediate effect and shall continue till completion of the election process.
In a separate order, the DC has also directed the flying squad team to check possible misuse of government vehicles by political parties/ candidates or any other person connected with election by conducting MV checking/naka checking at different places within Capital Complex. DIPRO
