ITANAGAR, May 7:The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) appointed Nabam Yakum as the new chief of the State Mahila Congress after the post fell vacant following resignation of Kamala Lingi recently.
Yakum was accorded a warm welcome by the party in a formal reception held at Helipad ground, Naharlagun.
Welcoming the new chief, APMCC Vice president, Yame Tok thanked the All India Mahila Congress Committee for appointing Yakum at this hour of difficulties and asserted that her joining has boosted the morale of party workers.
In her address, the newly appointed president, promised to serve in the interest of the party with full dedication and rejuvenate its women wing with full commitment.
