Roing, Dec 22: The 7th State Level Bodybuilding Mr. Arunachal Championship 2019 was held here at the Lower Dibang Valley district headquarters on December 21 last with Nabam Abu emerging as Mr. Arunachal (Champion of Champions).

There were a total of 80 contestants in as many as 12 categories such as 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 kgs and Mr. Arunachal title was awarded based on competition among the winners of these categories. Beside the above, there were also categories such as Men & Women Physique, Master/Veteran Competition and Differently Abled. MLA Roing Mutchu Mithi was the Chief Guest and business icon and social worker Likha Maj was the Guest of Honour. Mithi while thanking the organising committee of Arunachal Body Building Association (ABBA) for conducting the event at Roing said that it would act as a motivation for the young generation to take to bodybuilding. Maj while divulging that he himself is a bodybuilding lover having a personal gym at home, opined that it should be encouraged among state’s youths. President ABBA, Nabam Tuna requested the players to refrain from drugs & related evil practices and maintain self and Arunachal’s respect.

DC Mithali Namchoom and SP S. K Sen spoke on the occasion and encouraged the youths of the area.
