PASIGHAT, Apr 25: A three-member National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) peer team visited the Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat for assessing the institute for 3rd Cycle of re-accreditation on April 22-23.
The team led by Prof. Mohd. Iqbal Ali, former Vice Chancellor, Kakatiya University, Hanamkonda (Chairman), Prof. Narpat Singh Sekhawat, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (Member Secretary) and Dr. Raghunath Misal, Principal, Arihant College of Arts Commerce and Science, Camp Pune (Member) inspected the facilities at the college which happens to be the state’s oldest and premier institute of learning which produced most of the who's who of the state today.
The NAAC peer team interacted with different stakeholders. Principal, Dr.Milorai Modi presented the overall profile of the college. The presentation was emphasized on admission procedure, year-wise student enrolment and examination results, research facilities, departmental activities, students and faculty achievements including awards, research publications, infrastructure facility etc. The Peer Team visited all the departments and verified records. They also visited and reviewed the facilities available in Laboratories, Library, Hostels, Games & Sports, Gymnasium, Health Centre, NCC, NSS, Rovers and Rangers etc.
The peer team members interacted with students, faculty, staff, parents and alumni separately and received their feedbacks. 
The two days visit ended with ‘Exit Meeting’ which was attended by large number of students, faculty, alumni and staff. Chairman, NAAC peer Team Prof. Ali aired his satisfaction on the all-round performance of the college, especially the discipline and academic performance of the students and their spectacular cultural performance before the NAAC team.   
NAAC Chairman presented the sealed report of the peer team to the Principal in the presence of all stakeholders present in the meeting.
