NEW DELHI, Jun 24: Completing his term as the lone Rajya Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh, Mukut Mithi on the last day in office on Tuesday while bidding goodbye to politics expressed gratitude to the state’s people for their unflinching support, encouragement and affection all throughout his active political life spanning almost 40 years.
Mithi was the one to dislodge Gegong Apang’s long reign of around 20 years as chief minister.
The former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, extended thanks to the public and political leaders, government employees, all Arunachalees and media for being his companions during this long journey. 
“I have retired from politics but not from public service. And I would like to say that political ideologies apart, I will be with the administration to contribute my bit for the happiness and prosperity of Arunachal Pradesh,” the outgoing MP said in his message.
