AALO, Feb 9:The Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign is going on expeditiously in West Siang district and on the eight day of the campaign at least 80% children under nine months to 15 years have been covered. Around 25,664 children were vaccinated against the total target of 32,162 with immunization of 25,421 in Fixed Session and 243 through Mobile Session. 12,854 males and 12567 males have been vaccinated so far in the district. This is an outcome of continuous mobilization made by the District Health Society, Administrative Officers, Medical Officers, Paramedical staff, teachers and Anganwadi workers in different PHCs, CHCs, schools and Anganwadi centres. Going by the recent pace, the district is likely to achieve the desired target well ahead of time.
