ROING, Nov 8: The Bharat Scouts and Guides celebrated its foundation day at the newly developed Scouts and Guides Camping Park at Roing, Lower Dibang Valley district on Wednesday. MP Rajya Sabha Mukut Mithi laid the foundation stone of the park in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom.
Mithi praised the Scouts and Guides for instilling discipline at an early age and preparing them for a life of service and community development. The MP also assured to help in the construction of boundary wall and tent base from MPLAD fund. Cub Bulbul and Scout/ Guide presented a cultural programme, first aid demonstration and storytelling. 
About 400 Cub Bulbul and Scouts/ Guides attended the programme along with their Flock Leaders, Cub Masters, Guide Captains and Scoutmasters from different schools of the district.
Prizes were also distributed to the achievers of District Level Cub Bulbul Utsav 2018. Prize for Overall performance was bagged by Govt. Upper Primary School Cheta, Best Bulbul by Govt. Sec. School Mayu and Best Cub by Govt. Upper Primary School Ezengo.
