PASIGHAT Apr 16:Lok Sabha MP, Ninong Ering while attending a programme on Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) at Mikong Village today has called for collective efforts to achieve the goal of Model Village under “Sanshad Adarsh Gram Yojana”.

Dwelling on the significance of campaign, Ering informed that it aimed to provide villages with quality access to basic amenities and opportunities to villagers to rewrite their own future and their villages.

Informing that progress of the implementation will be keenly monitored by him, he informed that it envisages integrated development of the selected village such as 100% ODF, proper drainage, clean potable water supply and other facilities.

Earlier, Local MLA 37th Pasighat AC, Tatung Jamoh sought active support from the village community for the successful implementation   of SAGY for Mikong Village. He also stressed on creating quality infrastructures and amenities for sustainable growth, as they are common assets of the Village.

Jamoh also took note of the request made by villagers for posting of Medical Officer at Mikong Sub-Centre and posting of subject teachers and assured to take up on the matter at the earliest.

 DC Tamiyo Tatak, urged the PRIs to play a proactive role to achieve the status of a Model Village under SAGY.

 HoDS of implementing Departments such as Education, Health, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Nodal Officer Aadhaar, ICDS highlighted the various schemes of their respective departments and urged to avail the benefits.
