ITANAGAR, Feb 21: Several Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) for monitoring of Border Area Development Programme (BADP) projects were signed today by the Finance & Investment department of the state government and North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) and WAPCOS Ltd.
The MoUs were signed with NEDFi for 467 projects amounting to Rs. 10,580.52 lakhs and with WAPCOS Ltd. for 399 projects amounting to Rs. 10, 580.52 lakhs for 2017-18 and 2018-19.
Secretary (Planning & Investment) Himanshu Gupta, IAS on behalf of Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and Deputy General Manager Manoj Kr. Das on behalf of NEDFi, Guwahati and Regional Manager (NE) Debajit Das on behalf of WAPCOS Ltd. were the signatories. Director (Monitoring & Evaluation) Mokir Eshi Ori on behalf of Planning & Investment Department, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh, ABM, NEDFi, Itanagar Branch Minu Gamlin Yomcha and on behalf of WAPCOS Ltd. Joyprakash Doley, Engineer signed the MoUs as witnesses.
The BADP projects are being implemented in the state borders with China ,Bhutan and Myanmar. These projects shall be monitored by NEDFi and WAPCOS Ltd. through field visits and monitoring reports shall be submitted to the Monitoring and Evaluation Division of Finance, Planning & Investment department for corrective actions.
